1994 Excel 26 SE specialist?

Hello! I just joined this forum to ask if anyone here knows a specialist who can give a thorough assessment of our 1994 Excel 25 SE? My parents love this boat so much but my dad got into an accident about two years ago and they haven't used it since. He has already fully recovered but he doesn't seem to find the time to go on a cruise again. I figured he might be thinking about the repairs, additional expenses etc but if maybe I try to initiate looking into it, it would spark his interest back. I'd appreciate getting any leads and recommendations from around WA!

Hey welcome! For a thorough assessment, Id totally recommend looking for a marine surveyor with experience in older boats. Many arr happy to do detailed inspections and give repair estimates. Local marinas or boating clubs have good recommendations, or you can check with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) for certified pros near you. Getting a clear idea of the boat's condition might be just the push your dad needs to get back on the water

Trying to revive a 1994 Excel 26 SE might be more sentimental than practical. Boats that old cost way more to fix than they're worth, but hey, some folks love throwing money at nostalgia
